Hannaford Turner LLP is delighted to announce the appointment of Anton Chambers as a Partner in the firm.

Anton is a highly experienced finance lawyer whose practice focuses on all aspects of transportation and asset finance.  He principally represents financial institutions, lessors, investors and operators in the aviation sector, advising on a wide range of cross‑border financing and leasing transactions, but his practice also extends to rolling stock, engines, helicopters, maritime assets and large road‑vehicle fleets.

Anton’s experience spans debt financings, operating leases, finance leases, aircraft asset‑backed securities (ABS), sale and purchase transactions, pre‑delivery payment financings, export credit‑backed structures, restructurings and sanctions‑related matters.

Anton’s work includes advising on complex multi‑jurisdictional financings, long‑term leasing platforms, security and assignment arrangements, and transactional issues arising from regulatory change, insolvency situations and sanctions regimes. He has worked extensively with banks, leasing companies, airlines, investment funds, manufacturers and insurers around the world.

He has also worked internationally, having spent time in Dubai, Paris and Toulouse, and brings with him deep sector knowledge and a global outlook that aligns strongly with the firm’s market‑leading shipping, superyacht and luxury asset practices.

Anton was previously a partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP (2020–2025) and a senior associate at Clifford Chance LLP (2008–2020).  He holds an MA from the University of Cambridge and is admitted as a solicitor in England & Wales.
