Alison is in charge of HT Corporate Services Limited (HTCSL), which is an English-incorporated subsidiary company of Hannaford Turner, LLP set up for the purpose of providing English process agent appointment services to international companies and individuals based outside England & Wales.

Alison is an English-qualified lawyer with extensive experience of international ship finance transactional work for 20+ years together with a specific focus in recent years on English process agent appointment matters for international clients at both her previous firm and now at HTCSL.

Alison joined HTCSL in October 2023 having worked at other London maritime and commercial law firms including Berwin Leighton Paisner, LLP, Watson Farley & Williams, LLP and Ince & Co., LLP. She also spent 5 years in Hong Kong working in the internal corporate services team at Nomura International (HK) Limited and Nomura Research Institute, HK.

  • Alison is responsible for the London-based team dealing with English process agent appointments through HTCSL for a wide range of international clients entering into contractual arrangements governed by English law and/or jurisdiction including in particular but not exclusively, finance, commercial and leasing transactional arrangements in the maritime, transport, energy and property sectors.
  • Her process agent clients include major shipping and transport companies, ship management companies, port operators, drilling companies, yacht owners and brokers, airlines and also individuals resident overseas, based in Europe, the US/Central America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, through either direct instructions or through foreign law firms.
  • Alison has previously acted for both banks and owners in ship finance and energy-related projects and also handled London ship sale and purchase closings and related mortgage registrations through various London-based shipping registries. She has also dealt with the provision of English legal opinions for banking and other English law contractual matters and related corporate arrangements for English-incorporated companies and also companies incorporated in a wide variety of other jurisdictions.
