Anton is a Partner of Hannaford Tuner LLP having joined in March 2026. Anton was previously a partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP (2020-2025) and  Senior Associate at Clifford Chance LLP (2008-2020).

Anton is a highly experienced finance lawyer whose practice focuses on all aspects of transportation and asset finance transactions.  Anton represents financial institutions, lessors and operators in respect of  debt financings, operating leases, finance leases, aircraft asset backed securities (ABS), sale and purchase transactions, pre delivery financings, export credit financings, restructurings and sanctions-related matters.

Anton typically works on transactions involving aircraft assets but also has experience working on finance and leasing transactions involving rail, maritime and road vehicle assets.

Anton has spent time working in Dubai, Paris and Toulouse.

  • Advising a Japanese bank in respect of engine finance lease transactions with a German-Dutch engine manufacturer/lessor.
  • Advising a Hong Kong based investment company in respect of all aspects of its acquisition of a new Dassault Falcon 8X aircraft.
  • Advising an Irish helicopter leasing company on various operating leases and related aircraft substitutions and relocations.
  • Advising a German airline in respect of various operating leases and lessor/financier transfer/security assignment processes
  • Advising a Nigerian airline in respect of various matters arising from operating leases and wet leases
  • Advising the administrators to Flybe after Flybe were put into administration in March 2020.
  • Advising an Irish leasing company on the leasing of one B737-800 aircraft with a Chinese operator and matters arising under the related asset bcked securirities (ABS) structure
  • Advising a New York based investment bank on the UKEF-guaranteed financing of two Boeing 787 aircraft to be leased to LOT airlines and Air Europa.
  • Advising a Chinese leasing company on all aviation finance, insurance and sanctions matters arising from the UK, EU and US sanctions imposed on Russian entities.
  • Advising a Luxembourg lending institution in respect of its $175,000,000 financing of thirty-one aircraft engines to be operated by a Korean airline
  • Advising the Japanese financier on pre-delivery payment financings for Boeing and Airbus aircraft ordered by main airlines in Portugal and Brazil.
  • Advising an airframe manufacturer based in France regarding its sale of fifteen (15) negotiable promissory notes worth a total of $649,500,000
  • Advising a French bank in relation to the financing and leasing of two A380 aircraft leased to Etihad and owned by a special purpose vehicle incorporated in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
  • Advising a German bank in connection with their US$667 million debut securitisation
  • Advising a Swiss insurance company in respect of its $12,500,000 sale of a private jet to an individual in the United States. In addition, advised the client in respect of its proposed involvement with various fractional share programmes with NetJets Inc.
  • Advising a rolling stock leasing company on all aspects of the financing arrangements for its purchase and leasing of 30 New Class 99 Electro-Diesel Locomotives.
  • Advising a rolling stock leasing company on the financing aspects of its acquisition of a 50% share in SMBC Leasing’s UK rail rolling stock portfolio. The portfolio is a diversified fleet of modern rolling stock, on long-term lease arrangements with highly rated counterparties.
  • Advising a British telecommunications company in respect of its financing, leasing and outsourcing arrangements for its fleet of road vehicles, worth US$1bn.
