Associate

Reece is an Associate at Hannaford Turner, having joined the firm’s industry-leading Yachts and Luxury Assets team in July 2025. He holds an LL.B., LL.M., and LPC from the University of Law, London, graduating with excellent academic results.

Reece advises on a broad range of luxury asset matters, with a particular focus on the sale and purchase, construction, and financing of superyachts and private jets. His recent experience includes advising on the construction of a European new-build superyacht, the acquisition and financing of multiple Bombardier and Gulfstream aircraft, and the sale of a superyacht exceeding 100 metres in length. He also has experience advising on fleet acquisitions and finance arrangements for European commercial airlines. Reece is especially skilled at navigating complex, cross-border transactions across the maritime and aviation sectors.

Reece trained at Jaffa & Co, where he gained substantial experience in the yachting and business aviation sectors. During this time, he regularly advised ultra-high-net-worth individuals, shipyards, and tier 1 lenders on high-value transactions, often exceeding tens of millions of euros.

In addition to his transactional work, Reece has acted on a range of contentious matters, including disputes before the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA) and the High Court of England and Wales. His litigation experience includes claims relating to MYBA sale and purchase agreements, construction contracts, sanctions, and technical delivery disputes.

Outside of his legal practice, Reece serves as President of Young Professionals in Yachting (YPY) UK, where he oversees the board of directors and supports a growing national network of over 200 members.
