Michael Greville joined Hannaford Turner LLP in February 2018. Prior to that he had been a partner in Watson, Farley & Williams for 22 years, including Head of Litigation and Managing Partner.

His practice is predominantly but not exclusively in the maritime sector with focus on construction work (contentious and non-contentious). He has advised on offshore development projects, business and company acquisitions, investment and financing arrangements, commercial jvs, development agreements, distribution and licensing agreements and a wide range of commercial arrangements. He has successfully led substantial disputes through court and arbitration proceedings.

  • Acted for a UK shipyard on all legal matters including contracts for construction of aluminium fast ferries, tourist boats, windfarm support vessels and explorer yachts.

  • Acted for a German shipyard in the conversion of an offshore guard vessel into an expedition superyacht.
  • Acted for a river cruise company in relation to the sale of its business.
  • Acted for the owner of a 1938 built, 63m motor yacht in all matters in relation to total rebuild and modernisation.
  • Acted for a leading manufacturer of sailing yachts on all matters relating to the construction and sale of yachts 50-125’ LOA.
